Well I haven't really decided yet if I wanna make a resolution. I think this is entirely overrated way of letting yourself down. Things I hope to improve are patience I think I have it covered but there are days I get short with myself. I hope to obviously get in some form of shape besides round. Eat out less with home health I eat out like every stinking day and it gets so old. I remember when we only at out on Sat night. I really cooked. Crazy right yeah I thought so. We saved so much money. I hope to improve my debt situation. I am proud to say I am one credit card away from having no debt but the things I have to, big thanks to Dave Ramsey and God.
We have been so busy in the past 10 days I had 5 Christmases. Yeah I know! Last Tuesday I woke up freezing not an I'm cold and the hubby has all the covers, no an I am under a sheet, quilt and comforter and still freezing. I got up got in the tub to warm myself and it hits me the urge to puke. I haven't puked since morning sickness forever ago. At the same time I got a stomach pain like if I don't do something soon I wasn't gonna bed in that bath water. I was literally vomiting and pooping at the same time. Oh it was horrible. I prayed for the good Lord to take me on. I was miserable. My appetite was scarred and I haven't ate the same since. One meal a day is all I can tolerate. Enough about that.
My Gran who lives in E-town may have leukemia so remember her in your prayers.

November 2, 2005, three years ago at 5:45 am I went in for a routine induction at 40 and 4/7th weeks I was ready to have this child. I was in labor for eight hours sleeping through most of it with the help of my epidural. I was awakened by the nurse that it was time to push. I tried for 2.5 hours to have my boy in every position possible. I agreed to a C section after exhaustion set in and at 6:32 pm he was welcomed into the world weighing 8lbs 6oz, 21 inches long. I will never forget the first thing I said to my husband was look at our boy he's so beautiful.

I can't believe it's been three years. I have been so blessed to have this child. He may try every last nerve I have but I wouldn't give anything for him. He is a healthy happy little boy who knows what he wants and how to get it. He is so smart and creative. He loves to take things apart to see how they tick. He is very emotional and he's an open book. He's very forgiving but very stubborn.

What have I learned in the last three years you ask....

I know what true love is. The love you have for your child is such a pure and blinding love.

You will do things that aren't always glamourous ie: latex gloves to fish out the hotwheel car he dropped in the toliet while doing # 2.

I have patience beyond what I ever thought possible.

I can carry on a conversation with him in the background repeating mommie continously.

I have learned how to put my needs last for the sake of my child.

When possible I have gone on less sleep than ever thought possible.

I am candied out!

These are our Halloween photos Satchel was a dragon. It's usually too hot for any costume I put him in but not this year. The only problem was he had almmost outgrown his costume by the time Halloween had gotten here. We didn't go to many places. We went to trunk or treats at our church and then to Big B. We stopped at Momaws for supper and there Satchel gave out the candy he had a blast he would meet the kids in the yard and put the treat bags in their bags. Finally we ended the night at my best friends and came home and went into candy comas. I let him have all he could stand because the next day it all got tossed.

I am gonna do the next few posts of just pictures I have been too lazy to post. These photos are from our trip to Dinosaur World in Bowling Green. I decided instead of doing a vacation we did several staycations. This one I woundn't recommend it was a waste of money. The dinosaurs looked very fake and the gift shop would rip you a new one if you wanted to get something nice. Needless to say we won't go back. $30 for 2 adult admissions.

I've Been Hanging Around!

Well I have kinda been on blogging hiatus! Not really, but it sounded important didn't it?
Many things have happened since I last blogged but for the life of me I can't really remember much. I got my bedroom painted after living in our home for three years. I have commitment issues OK! I am one of those people whose style changes weekly. One day I want modern the next I want primitive the next country cottage. I have finally settled on something. I plan to post pictures once the room is complete. We still have molding to put up and also artwork that such stuff!
I spent so much money this Christmas and was ready for it. There is this benefit at my job where I can take out money for daycare pretax so now I have money to take out here at Christmas time so I am not completely broke.
My Satchel is growing so much I measured him by his marking on the closet door face he has grown and inch since Sept. I can't believe that. He talks so much now and he is ready for the transition at church I believe from little lambs to tiny toons. I am scared but he and I are gonna take this step together. He has started this saying Bow chica wow wow I have no idea where he heard it but it is so funny.
This is the thing I meant to tell ya'll. My dog Dante had to have eye surgery last week. He had a growth which caused an ulcer or sore on his cornea. We did drops for three days with no improvement and went back for a checkup and he had surgery that day to remove the growth. He's doing great we had a checkup Fri. The ulcer isn't healed completely and he also busted a couple of sutures. Otherwise he's on the road to healing. The eye looks so much better.

I hope Spongebob's not the Father!

Well lying in bed the other night my three year old out of nowhere tells me he's present. I had to think a minute have him repeat and then I got it he's pregnant. I burst into laughter. The things they say oh priceless.
So I put the tree up and that's as far as I have gotten, no ornaments well I have ornaments just nothing to put on the tree. I am however ahead of schedule I generally don't put the tree up till the week before Christmas. I know what's the use? I know what I want and have pictured in my head for my tree this year, but haven't got out to get it yet. Yes I am one of those people. I got my wrapping paper at Big Lots the other day it's adorable and cheap.
I haven't even began shopping usually I like to buy a little throughout the year but I have slacked this year. I hope to go and do some this weekend.
I need to start some traditions I remember when I was young we always stayed at Granny Bec's Christmas Eve watched movies and ate sticky popcorn, got to open one present. On Christmas day we woke up to cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, pancakes all the such, then gorged again at dinner and opened gifts. See Satchel needs something like that. This year he will really put it together.
Oh my hubby calls me I got a deer, he didn't tell me it was Bambi's mom, well maybe not really but he brings it home it's in the garage and he takes Satchel to see it. He justifies this by saying he wants to see it. I'm thinking he never said anything to me about it and wouldn't it be funny if you go out there and it's jumping all about our garage?
Hubby got bit by a dog today while out doing his route. It broke the skin. We have had great luck with dogs this year. I am gonna leave you all with this heartwarming little diddy! Yes Satchel was naked but we just finished bath time.

Happy Holidays

Well new background so I thought would be appropriate to do a post as well. Where have I been, well so many things have been going on it's been a little hectic. We have been through birthdays and just enjoying each other. Satchel is being very much the three year old. He is so busy growing and being a little boy now. He makes me so proud to be his mom. He is singing now. This coming from the boy who I thought would never talk. He has been singing Be careful little eyes what you see. He sings the same verse over and over and also Jesus Loves Me. He is so adorable his sweet little voice.
The new job is going great I can't believe the difference my stress level is nonexsistent now. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop so to speak.
Is everybody else ready for the holidays? I got my turkey breast but will probably save it for Christmas I usually mooch from everybody else at Thanksgiving. I tried my hand at making the salt dough ornaments yeah my first batch wasn't very successful. I am back to the drawing board. I think I am gonna get my tree up tomorrow.

Look out he's a biter............

My Satchel the soon to be three year old today at church bite another little boy. It was one of those momments you wanna melt into the tile. I could hear the screams from the corrider about 10 feet away and all three were boys that were in there. I go inside and all three boys are screaming and the teacher is telling that they were fighting over a little push sweeper. My Satchel bite this boy and he's also the teachers son. It had already turned purple. My child never bites. Probably because I started early biting him if he bite anyone. Now I am at a loss for words because my once mild mannered little boy is spitting biting and hitting. Anyone with any suggestions let me know.

I just love me some shopping.........

Let me start by saying my feet are killing me. I am suprised I don't have blisters I know my debit card does. I went shopping yesterday with one of my friends. We went on the right day. Every store we went to had sales. I just have to say we went to Goody's and I got UPSET. There was a rack with summer clothes on it that well I thought said 80% off. I load up cause things on this rack are like 10.00 or less. I check out and my total is 46.00 I am like no way it should be a lot less. My friend is like yeah so after checkout we get out our cell phone calculators and add it up and it was way off should have been like 35.00 at the most. Now 10.00 is a lot on a shopping trip thats a pair of earrings. SO we speak to the manager and she's all like well did you read the sale sign right it says "Up to 80% off" At the same time we're both like thats tricky and so not right! I was gonna do a return and may still but I don't know the clothes I got I have been drooling over all summer.
So on to Old Navy where I got my 36.00 silky skirt for 2.00 OMG I like to have had a coronary!
I got a hot pair of high heels at Kohls and I love em but I am so not a high heel girl but they go perfect with like everything.
Bath and Body Works has the best smelling smelly goods and I got some of the Japenese Cherry blossom lotion and spray.
Last but not least one of my fav me stores Christopher & Banks. Love their stuff. I got two sweaters for the price of one. Everything I tried on was perfect. I wanna go back. I am now on the hunt for one of those puffer vests with the fur trim.
Next shopping trip in one month the Christmas excursion as I call it!

YOU WANNA PIECE OF ME?

OK I am blowing snot from every facial orfice I have. I feel like crude. I swear if someone struck a match I would go up like a Christmas tree. I have so many tissues stuffed here there and everywhere I feel like an old ladies Sunday purse. I don't smell like cough drops though HeHe!

I went to bed lastnight at like 8 pm I was so fed up my head was pounding. I feel slightly better.My Satchel has this new thing where he has to poop sitting backwards I have no I dea where he got this idea but oh well he has to throw his underwear and pants off and crawl up there. I can only imagine him doing this when he's like thirty. He also tells me to go away so cute right!

He has added hitting to his arsenal I had to have a talk with my babysitter about our Walmart experience oh it was bad. So he now spits like a camel and hits.

I have decided I am going to start telling people when I think they are being crazy. So my child is screaming in Wal-Mart because I won't give him dirty apples I the bad mommy am going to make him wait until we get home. He goes of screaming and spitting it's a mess I just go on like it doesn't bother me. I am not going to cave. The women checker in the isle beside the one we are in butts in and here's how it goes:

Walmart checker: Oh he's so unhappy what's the matter?

Me: Well he wants a dirty apple everybody has probably had their germy hands all over and I am not gonna give it to him.

Walmart checker: I'll take it in the bathroom and wash it off.

Me: Oh no you won't take my produce in THAT bathroom. If you do it'a all yours.

Well that shut here up. She didn't say another word.

Hubby made steak and baked potato I am so full but I think we may go get Baskin Robbins me and Satchel!

Having a Blast!

I'm back. I fell off the face of the earth for a while but I guess no one really missed me. Down to buisness I have been so busy learning the ins and outs of my new job and fighting my soon to be three year old boy.
Me and hubby took the Satchel to Dinosaur World our last little get away for the year. It was a waste of money but he loved it. He had the best time. We then headed to a mall where I bought nothing. I think it's a conspiracy my hubby takes me to these places makes sure I walk my butt off then takes me to the malls when I have zero energy to do anything. We then ate at Logan's steakhouse the best steaks ever my meal was ruined however when hubby tells me my smashed potatoes resembled dog poop. Yuck! It really did. My steak was awesomw though.
Satchel spent the night at my mothers but was sad it was his first night away from me in like a year. I'm like are you sure your gonna stay and he's all like BYE!
Satchel has been practicing saying trick or treat.

How stinking cute huh! He now been in his bed for a week or maybe two now. He however must have mommy on the floor by his bed. I have wised up and now I get the cushions off of the couch to pad the floor. I don't sleep there long just till he goes to sleep.

Everyone sleep tight and next time maybe it won't be so long.

What Can I Say About Thursday.....

Well I have finished my notice at my current job it's sad because honestly this was a place I may have retired from. It was just one of those places for the most part I love the people I worked with but I am excited because I am going to be working with people I used to work with and closer to home. I will save gas! That's always a positive. Just another chapter in the life of Sam.

Did You Miss Me?

I figured anybody reading my blog has thought I have given up, well not quite. I went back to work this week. Vacation's over I started my two weeks notice on Monday. October 13 I start at my new job same monster different company. I am excited to go.
My Satchel is becoming more and more the three year old he will be one month from now actually today. OMG I gotta get on the ball. I have a party to plan and pictures to be taken.
We were online last night looking for Halloween costumes and what do we find a dinosaur and so cute but like $40.00 I don't know how everyone else is but I'm like sure let's just order that right up...................NOT. That is so silly paying that much for something that he will wear once. Ridiculous that's what it is. I think were getting to the point where I have to keep the bathroom door shut now after bath time for me. I get out have my jammy bottoms on and not my top yet and Satchel's all like let me see your boobies. So of course we're playing the ring around the roses to keep him from seeing me. Yeah bad.
I have already stopped watering my mums they look so pitiful I am gonna be turned into the FPS (flower protection services) Ha! Gotta find me first. My dear friend L is painting me some buckets to look like pumpkins to hold my mums. They are adorable she did hers last year they are so cute. I didn't go all out this year no hay no corn stalks.
I will never call boys underwear panties again that has bitten my hiney so much since we have done the potty training thing. He calls them panties so yeah I am momma to a pantie wearing tough guy.
My best friend is gonna have her miracle baby tomorrow I can't wait. He is gonna be taken in the morning. I am so happy for her and she is gonna be an amazing mother.
My Satchel is asleep on the couch I am debating on whether I am gonna wake him. He'll probably be up all night but I'll let his father deal with him. I had to Mon night. Oh he sleeps with me in our bed, my hubby sleeps on the couch. I can't I have "back problems" but Mon I had to sleep on the couch because hubby got mad and went to bed early. Well excuse me Monday is my TV night. Since we don't have a DVR I have to watch it when it comes on but I always watch Jon& Kate +8 at 9:00p and have recently started watching Gossip Girl the most awesome show ever. I am so for Serena. Anyway he went to bed and I got stuck on the couch because every time I got up to get in the bed Satchel awoke screaming for Milkwee that's milk or for Mommy. So Tues I woke up as a mega meanie.
Well gotta get in the tub Grey's Anatomy will be on soon.

My First Pedicure!

I had my first pedicure ever today. I just loved it. My best friend enjoying her last child free weekend wanted to get pedicures. We had first went out to get more mums and pumpkins. So then we went to the local mall an hour away and ran around forever to decide if we were indeed going to do it. We did and can I just say it was worth every penny. After they were done my toes are just adorable. They crack me up when they grate the dead hide off of your feet. They really get into it. Then they massage your feet and legs. now these were not preplanned so had I shaved? No! I told the little gal she didn't have to if she didn't want to. She did anyway. So after my pedicure I wanted my nails painted . Before she touched my hands she looked at me and said you pay now. I say come again I didn't catch that. She is oriental and her english wasn't all that great. She then reached for my purse and I'm like Hey What's Going On? Then I caught on. So after she paints my nails she swipes my bank card and then like a little cat sneaks back over to her station and pats my shoulder causing me to smear my thumb. The she scoled me for smudging it and not keeping my hands in front of the fan. Other than that last part, which I think I will go to my usual salon and get one every week now. Well......that may be excessive but I would love to have these done routinely.
My son Satchel well he's a bit of a whiner. What do you do. If he's in the tub and his hands get wet he loses it sqealing "my hans wet." Oh my word! So we have to dry his wet hands and he's fine. As I blog he is pouting because Bob The Builder is over. In the same breath he has a fit the next he melts me. He came up to me and said "Mommy you so pity" (pretty in his words). I gotta go he calls.

My Staycation!

I have just come in from the Louisville Zoo and I am pooped. I wanted to download my pics to the laptop and I got some great ones. We picked a perfect day breezy and not to hot. The animals all wanted to be seen. My Satchel went nuts over the amals (that his speak for animals). He had so much fun. Last year it was so hot and we got to see very little. I would definately recommend going in the fall. We went up on Thurs. stayed in a hotel and got up and went early. Afterwards we had to go shopping. I had zero energy and we all really wanted a nap especially since we have an hour and a half drive home.

I got the cutest little church shoes for my Satchel at The Children's Place my absolute fav little boy clothing store. I love their clothes they wash well and never draw up. So there that's my plug for them.

Did everybody watch Grey's Anatomy lastnight. Oh My Goodness! This season my be the best yet. Who knows we'll have to see!

Laundry......I Swear It Never Ends!

Does every one hate to do laundry as much as I do. I don't mind to to it until the folding comes in. I hate the folding. I know I shouldn't complain because I could have no arms and then wouldn't be able to do any laundry.
I guess I could pay someone to do the folding. That's what Kate Gosselin does but she has eight kids, I have one. Yeah I guess that would be a little absurd. Anyway!
I made the best and most easy potato soup today. It's my Granny Bec's recipe. Does make a whole lot but you can double it. Here goes......
3-4 potatoes I use Idaho
2 TBSP of butter
1cup milk
half to all of a small onion, I use half
Combine and let cook till the potatoes are soft. How easy is that and soooo good. I put crackers and shredded chedder cheese in mine. Oh and salt & pepper to taste. Sometimes I put it in the crock pot to cook.
We went to our local Amish nursery and bought the largest mums I have ever seen. I just love the fall it is probably my most favorite time of the year.

HELLO OUT THERE IN BLOGLAND!

Well this is the premiere of my first blog. I have just got and itch to try it. I'm gonna see how it goes so wish me the best. Any suggestions by all means I am all ears.
I'm gonna start off by sharing some things about myself. I am a wife, mother of one so far and a home health nurse. My intrests are shopping, reading, and chasing my almost three year old. He keeps me busy but I love every minute of it. I have a 5 year old shih tzu named Dante. He is hilarious his favorite food is toilet paper. HAHA! Only kidding. My child is the spitting image of Mr. Happy Momma. I have been married seven years!
God has really been good to me! Bless all of you and have sweet dreams!
